2010 BINDING & SHOCKING

Binding and shocking of the grain.  (August 7th, 2010)

Shocking is the process of stacking the bundles of grain (wheat) upright in a field for drying.

Once dry, the grain will then be picked up by bundle wagons and threshed at the annual threshing bee.

This is how it was done before combines of today.
